to ‘Global Fashion Mentoring Seminar’

Seoul Design Foundation is hosting Global Fashion Mentoring Seminar where major issues in the fashion industry are discussed in the Academy Hall on the 3rd floor of Design Lab of Dongdaemoon Design Plaza (DDP), and accepting applications from those who want to participate in the Global Fashion Mentoring Seminar from September 28.
The Seminar, a part of 2018 S/S HERA Seoul Fashion Week, that fashion business experts around the world will participate to give short speeches about subjects and to have a Q&A session with audiences. In this season, a session co-hosted by FCD (FASHION • CULTURE • DESIGN) is added to make the seminar deeper and wider.
For the first session, starting from 2:30 pm, Simon Collins (the former Dean of Parsons the New School for Design and the chairman of FCD), Mario Dell’Oglio Italian Chamber of Fashion Buyers President) and Anders Madsen (Vogue U.K. fashion director) will come and share their ideas and opinion again. Moreoever, Laurence Sudre-Monnier (the Fashion & Media Director of Fédération Française de la Couture) and Jeannie Lee (Selfriges Women’s Designwear Buying Manager) will join as new mentors to discuss the subject ‘Fashion in the Age of Genderless.’
The second session will start at the same place at 5:30 p.m. under the title of ‘FASHION • CULTURE • DESIGN Seoul Salon Ⅹ SEOUL FASHION WEEK'. Simon Collins, one of the mentor and the chairman of FCD, will host the session. Ben Cobb (the Chief Editor of Another Man) and Kuho Jung (the General Director of HERA Seoul Fashion Week) will participate in this session as panels and exchange opinions with the participants for two subjects of ‘New Renaissance Creative Conversation’ and ‘Why Korea and What next?’ Right after the seminar, a party will be held so that participants can further exchange their opinions in a relaxed atmosphere.
Designers participating in HERA Seoul Fashion Week, fashion students or anyone interested in fashion are invited to the Seminar. Both online pre-registration and on-site registration are available. 2018 S/S HERA Seoul Fashion Week will be held from the October 16(Mon.) to 21(Fri.) at the Dongdaemoon Design Plaza (DDP). This year’s Fashion Week is expected to be a festival of fashion, culture and art, and will provide various programs for citizens to enjoy all over Seoul.
